25 Years of Immersive Technology
Join us on September 25th!
Come experience Meyer Sound's immersive technology at the exceptionally unique LIVELab facility at McMaster University. The LIVE (Large Interactive Virtual Environment) Lab is a unique 106-seat Research Performance Hall designed to investigate the experience of music, dance, multimedia presentation and human interaction.
The LIVELab was designed and built around very specific architectural standards in order to optimize the implementation of a Meyer Sound Constellation system - a system that allows the venue to digitally recreate any type of acoustic environment by adjusting the electro-acoustical architecture of the room. For example, Constellation can immerse participants into sound environments that replicate large cathedrals, concert halls, and anechoic chambers, as well as sound environments with added forms of ambient noise to simulate real life situations such as at a restaurant. Come experience this phenomenon for yourself!
Immersive technology is not a new concept for Meyer Sound. Starting from the earlier days in Las Vegas with shows like Cirque du Soleil's Mystére, to more recent large-scale multichannel theatrical productions featured on Broadway, Meyer Sound's technology has been the heart of spatial sound design for over 25 years!
