GerrAudio and DPA are excited to host a location sound workshop at Trew Audio Toronto with DPA's lead technical product specialist, Paul Andrews.
Paul travels North America educating mixers, engineers and location sound professionals on the many uses of DPA microphones.
He enjoys meeting those who are also in pursuit of perfect mic placement and recording techniques, and is excited to share his methods and experiences with you.
During this session, Paul will illustrate the concepts behind off-axis microphone response and the importance of microphone linearity during a recording. Paul will also demonstrate the differences between directional (cardioid) and omni-directional microphones, and the benefits of each for different recording situations.
Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day.
