Measurement Microphones & Acoustic Test Accessories
Enabling a complete audio measurement solution for end-to-end analog, digital and acoustic test

Odoo CMS - a big picture

Audio Precision offers a selection of measurement microphones designed to provide ready solutions for our customers working in acoustic test.

The AP microphone family includes one ¼-inch and two ½-inch precision measurement microphone systems, as well as a ¼-inch array microphone and an occluded ear simulator. All units are prepolarized, TEDS-compliant and ICP®/CCP powered. The three precision microphones are calibrated and delivered with a certificate of calibration, ensuring the utmost of confidence in measurement results when paired with calibrated instruments such as an APx500 Series Audio Analyzer and APx1701 Transducer Test Interface.

Whether you’re testing loudspeakers, headphones or microphones, make sure to also check out the APx1701 Transducer Test Interface. The APx1701 integrates instrument-grade amplifiers and microphone power supplies for designers and production test engineers seeking clear insight into the behavior of their electro-acoustic devices.

378M31 1/2″ Measurement Microphone System378m31-half-inch-free-field-mic
The Audio Precision model 378M31 is a general purpose measurement microphone recommended for high accuracy applications where high sensitivity is required for free-field response measurements. The 378M31 is a microphone system, comprised of a prepolarized microphone capsule combined with a low-noise preamplifier. The preamp is designed to operate on ICP® sensor power, and can be used with most 2–20 mA constant current power (CCP) microphone power supplies, including the APx1701. It carries embedded TEDS calibration and identification data; the preamplifier output is available on a BNC jack.

378M32 1/2″ Measurement Microphone System378m32-half-inch-free-field-mic
The Audio Precision model 378M32 has a flat response in applications where high frequencies (up to 40 kHz) need to be measured very accurately. As an alternative to a standard high sensitivity (50 mV/Pa) microphone, it has an enhanced upper dynamic range and doesn’t overload or saturate for measurements above 136 dB. The 378M32 is a microphone system, comprised of a prepolarized microphone capsule combined with a low-noise preamplifier. The preamp is designed to operate on ICP® sensor power, and can be used with most 2–20 mA constant current power (CCP) microphone power supplies, including the APx1701. It carries embedded TEDS calibration and identification data; the preamplifier output is available on a BNC jack.

378M33 1/4″ Measurement Microphone System378m33-quarter-inch-free-field-mic
The Audio Precision model 378M33 is recommended for extreme accuracy applications where high frequency measurements or high acoustic amplitude measurements are required. The 378M33 is a microphone system, comprised of a prepolarized microphone capsule combined with a low-noise preamplifier. The preamp is designed to operate on ICP® sensor power, and can be used with most 2–20 mA constant current power (CCP) microphone power supplies, including the APx1701. It carries embedded TEDS calibration and identification data; the preamplifier output is available on a 10-32 coaxial (microdot) jack.

130M23 1/4″ Array Microphone130m23-quarter-inch-array-mic
The value-priced 130M23 array microphone is an excellent choice for large channel count applications, being a cost-effective alternative to higher-end, class-one test and measurement microphones. The 130M23 is a single-piece unit that includes a built-in preamplifier, and is suitable for measurements within the normal human hearing range. Excellent phase matching characteristics across multiple microphones make the 130M23 a good choice for microphone array applications. The 130M23 is designed to operate on ICP® sensor power, and can be used with most 2–20 mA constant current power (CCP) microphone power supplies, including the APx1701. It carries embedded TEDS calibration and identification data; the microphone output is available on an SMB jack.

AECM304 Occluded Ear Simulatoraudio-precision-aecm304-ear-simulator
The AECM304 occluded ear simulator presents an artificial ear canal to the ear insert, approximating the acoustic impedance of a human ear. The AECM304 has a prepolarized 1/2″ 12.5 mV/Pa measurement microphone internally mounted; a compatible preamplifier (such as the recommended Audio Precision 426M14) is required. The 426M14 preamplifier is designed to operate on ICP® sensor power, and can be used with most 2–20 mA constant current power (CCP) microphone power supplies, including the APx1701; the preamplifier output is available on a 10-32 (microdot) jack.
