Technical Support Representative

GerrAudio is an established sales and distribution company of professional audio equipment used in the live performance and broadcast industries across Canada. Our head office is located in Brockville, Ontario, with satellite offices located in the Greater Toronto Area, Western Canada and Quebec.
This position will work in partnership with the Company's Western Canadian Sales Manager and Technical Support Team to service an existing customer base as well as help develop new sales opportunities within the territory.

Position Requirements:

Coordinate sales activities by working closely with the Western Canada Sales Manager and the VP of Sales

Assist with technical service inquiries and provide timely solutions by working closely with the internal Technical Service team and the end-user or customer

Respond to incoming phone and/or email technical service inquiries; troubleshoot equipment failures or other related problems to determine whether or not the customer can fix the issue or if the item need to be sent in for repair

Assist with quote generation and customer follow-up on a daily basis

Visit customers and potential customers to develop relationships, assist with the setup and execution of on-site and virtual product demonstrations, assist with meeting follow-up

Deliver professional and relevant sales and technical service solutions

Input customer activities, competitive intelligence and industry information daily using CRM (Odoo) software

Follow-up in a timely manner (within 24-hours max) to voicemail and email requests from customers, suppliers, management, peers and other internal and external contacts

Establish long-term, ongoing relationships with multiple people in a customer's organization

Travel with internal colleagues, external supplier sales personnel as well as alone to visit end-user customers

Assist with the planning of relevant industry and distributor trade shows, and attend when necessary

Provide feedback to internal teams as well as with sales peers regarding competition, pricing and marketing opportunities

Maintain and share an understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets
Qualifications:

Completed post-secondary degree or diploma in a relatable field of study desirable
-
5+ years of experience working within the live production sound or touring industry
-
Well-developed knowledge of the technology that GerrAudio represents (Meyer Sound, DiGiCo, Clear-Com, DPA, RME, Sound Devices, etc.)

Well-developed sales and customer service skills are considered an asset

Ability to determine the needs of customers and make recommendations that best serve these needs

Ability to travel at least 30% of the time (locally, domestically and internationally)

Excellent oral and written communication skills in both technical and business terms

Excellent customer relations skills

Physically able to lift and set up audio equipment while on the road

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), Google office applications (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.) and Apple functions (MAC operations, Keynote, etc.), as well as the ability to quickly adapt and efficiently leverage a sophisticated CRM tool to manage customer engagements and run reports

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and communicate effectively (written & verbal)

Developed time management and organizational skills, ability to set priorities, meet established deadlines, be proactive, make decisions to solve customer problems efficiently

Ability to multi-task, be flexible and work independently while being cooperative and supportive as a member of a small team

Computer application literate. Able to learn, demonstrate, apply and teach product related applications software

Valid Class G Ontario (or Provincially equivalent) Driver's License in order to drive the company's van(s) while not negatively impacting the company's automobile insurance premiums

Ownership of an insured personal vehicle in good condition to be used for business use is essential

Bondable and/or able to produce/secure a Police Record Search Certificate

Ownership of, or ability to obtain, a valid Canadian Passport and to travel freely into the USA
